Kayla graduated from the University of Northern BC with her Bachelor’s Science in Natural Resource Management and is a Registered Professional Forester (RPF) with the Forest Professionals of BC.
Prior to joining Sasuchan, Kayla was employed with Canfor for the past ten years in a variety of roles, starting in Fort St John, BC and moving to Vanderhoof, BC in 2016.
Kayla’s skills and expertise are in Timber Development: layout and recces and crew supervision; Permitting: layout review, consultant management, cutting permit submissions and site plan preparation; and Harvesting: logging supervision and supervision of the grind and pulp deliveries program.
In her down time, Kayla enjoys hiking, backpacking, running, and photography. You can find Kayla spending time with her husband, Fernando, and her dog, Ryley or travelling! Her travel bucket list includes exploring more of Mexico and visiting Italy, Patagonia, and Iceland.
