We are pleased to announce a new Board Chair – Sandra Carroll.
Sandy will take on this role starting January 2022. Sandy has been a member of the SDC Board of Directors since May 2021. Sandra had over a 30-year career within the BC Public Service and has held a variety of executive positions including Deputy Minister of Advanced Education, International Trade, Deputy Minister Tourism. In addition of Chief Operating Officer (COO) with the Ministry of Health, and over 20 years at the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure. SDC is incredibly excited to have Sandy leading the growth of our company and supporting SDC to meet our vision.
Sasuchan is also excited to announce a new position of Board Co-Chair.
Marilyne Teegee will hold the position of Co-Chair as she continues to serve on SDC Board. She has attended the College of New Caledonia for business administration and has been a board member for Carrier Sekani Family Services since 1997 – 2007 & 2012-present. Her previous experience includes working for the School District in Vanderhoof, employed as an aboriginal coordinator/liaison between the School District and First Nations. Marilyne is dedicated to Takla’s vision, building the community, and supporting Nation members to reach their full potential.
Sasuchan is thrilled to announce Mogens Smed is joining the Sasuchan Board of Directors in January 2022.
Co-founder and CEO of Calgary-based Falkbuilt Ltd, Mogens has more than 60 years’ experience and expertise in interior construction and environmental solutions in designing, manufacturing, and building interior environments using technology. In 2004, Mogens co-founded DIRTT Environmental Solutions and grew annual revenues to $360M. He founded SMED International in 1986. The company was sold for $300M in 2000. Mogens is an ardent supporter of environmental causes, particularly those supporting waterways, furthering sustainability initiatives, and promoting Indigenous communities. SDC is thrilled to welcome Mogens to the Board and can’t wait to work with him to diversify our business through new, innovative technology and opportunities.
