Description

Reporting to the Forestry Supervisor, the Crew Leader, will work with and provide leadership for a team of professionals responsible for all timber development activities and have solid technical field skills, can lead and develop project-based work in a dynamic environment, and work well in a team with exposure to all aspects of our diversified and integrated business.

Duties and Responsibilities

· Crew Leadership and Supervision

· Block and Road Layout

· Bridge Site Plans

· Eco typing/Silviculture Prescriptions

· Timber Cruising

· Stream and Wetland Assessment

· Staff Training and Recruitment

Qualifications

· Degree or diploma in Forestry is preferred and considered an asset.

· 3+ years relevant forestry experience.

· Physically fit, organized and have the ability to lead and mentor others.

· Valid Class 5 B.C., Driver’s license, or out of province equivalent required, trained to drive 1-ton vehicle.

· Registration with the ABCFP as an RPF or RFT is preferred and considered an asset.

· Snowmobiling and ATV riding experience is an asset.

· Work in remote camp locations will be required, RV accommodations will be provided.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $25.00-$29.00 per hour
